Graduation Celebration

Understanding the ETV

The Texas Education and Training Voucher (ETV) is a federal "need-based" benefit that provides funding for youth and young adults who have experienced foster care and are attending post-secondary school. This webinar outlined post-secondary benefits and helped attendees understand the unique challenges that foster care alumni face when aging out of care and moving on to post-secondary education.

The presentation highlighted resources available to current and former foster youth and underscored the importance of school employees, aftercare service providers, and other community partners creating partnerships to help youth aging out of foster care realize their educational goals.
